To open your prefrences for transimission :menuselection:`Edit --> Prefrences`. To limit upload speed check the :guilabel:`Upload` checkbox and select the limit of upload speed you want. To limit download speed check the :guilabel:`Download` checkbox and select the limit of download speed you want.
